In this tutorial video, you are going to learn how to quickly animate a page swipe in After Effects. You will also learn some great easing numbers to create smooth gestural animations. You will also be learning critical keyboard shortcuts for being more efficient and confident in After Effects.
Knowing how to quickly build an animation, such as a page swipe is important to building confidence. This in turn helps build a solid foundation where you can develop a muscle memory and begin to start using After Effects as a sketching environment for your UI animation ideas and concepts.
The steps I will be covering include:
- Import your design
- Go over Fibonacci easing numbers at 60 Frames Per Second, specifically the numbers 13, 34, 55, 89.
- Block out the animation using the Position property
- Apply easing
- Iterate using the Fibonacci numbers
