In this tutorial video, you are going to learn how to put your prototype on any device in After Effects.
This is a great way to share your work on your portfolio or in a presentation. Your design feels more real and people respond to it more positively. After watching this tutorial, you will be able to take any image with a screen (whether it be an iPhone, Apple Watch, MacBook pro, or any other image of a device you can find, and create a template file for you to use in After Effects.
I’ve also created a bunch of really cool and free After Effects templates for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, MacBook Pro, iMac, and more. Each template comes in 6 preset sizes and are all drag and drop. These sizes include everything from Dribbble to HD to 4k. Grab them for free at: http://uxinmotion.com/templates
The steps I will be covering include:
1. How to source high quality images from which to create your template
2. Open the image in Photoshop, add guides and a reflection
3. Import into After Effects
4. Use the ‘corner pin’ effect in After Effects
5. Add your UI animation to complete the template
Happy prototyping,
Issara
